Community Guidelines

These guidelines explain how to participate safely and honestly on cohero, whether you share a dream, give support or join a conversation. They set standards for content and conduct, explain reporting and enforcement, and protect a community built around voluntary gifts rather than purchases or investments.

1. Our community and shared values

cohero, operated by Fenkil Technologies LTD, connects people pursuing personal goals with people who want to support them. A Dreamer is a person seeking money for a dream, and a Backer is a person giving money; one account may do both. These guidelines apply to dreams, profiles, milestone proof, messages, images, videos and other activity on the platform.

Our values are honesty, dignity, personal agency and responsible support. People may have different circumstances, beliefs and ambitions without being treated as less deserving of safety or respect. A moving story never excuses deception, and a financial contribution never buys control over another person.

  • Represent yourself and your goal truthfully, including important uncertainties and limitations.
  • Treat people as individuals, without abuse, coercion or discriminatory exclusion.
  • Protect personal information and respect boundaries, including a decision not to reply.
  • Use the platform to support lawful personal dreams, not to sell access, returns or influence.

Read these guidelines alongside the Terms of Service, Dreamer Rules, Backing & Gift Policy and Trust & Safety. They govern participation rather than promising that every interaction will be safe or every dream will succeed. Report concerns so our team can assess them; do not attempt to enforce the rules through public retaliation.

2. Be real: identity and accounts

You must be at least 18 years old and use your real identity on cohero. One person may have only one account, even if they both back dreams and publish their own. Sign in using your own email address and password, and keep your credentials secure rather than sharing access with another person.

Impersonating a real person, inventing a person to solicit gifts, or falsely presenting yourself as a representative of an organisation is prohibited. Do not copy another person’s profile, use stolen photographs, claim credentials you do not hold or suggest that cohero has endorsed you. An account must not conceal a previously restricted user’s return.

  • Do not create extra accounts to inflate support, manufacture conversations or evade a block.
  • Do not buy, sell, lend or transfer accounts, or use someone else’s credentials.
  • Do not claim to be a member of our team or request passwords, payment credentials or security codes.

Truthful identity does not require publishing sensitive identity documents or a home address for everyone to see. If we need information to assess an identity concern, cooperate with reasonable requests through the support process and avoid sending unnecessary sensitive material. Anonymous backing is permitted: the Dreamer and public do not see the Backer’s identity unless the Backer chooses to chat, while administrators can see it.

3. Tell the truth about your dream

Describe a genuine personal dream and explain what support will help you accomplish. Your story, budget, experience, photographs and progress claims must be accurate and not omit facts that would materially change a Backer’s understanding. A difficult situation does not justify a fabricated emergency, misleading deadline or invented endorsement.

Distinguish what has already happened from what you hope to do. Identify estimates, unresolved permissions and dependencies rather than describing them as settled facts. If you use illustrative images, edited media or generated material, make their nature clear where a reader might otherwise mistake them for evidence of you, your circumstances or completed work.

  • Do not fabricate receipts, progress photographs, medical circumstances, qualifications or milestone results.
  • Do not copy another Dreamer’s story or pass someone else’s work off as your own.
  • Do not hide material changes to costs, feasibility, intended spending or your ability to continue.
  • Do not imply that review of a dream verifies every factual claim or guarantees completion.

Backings are voluntary, unconditional gifts, not investments, loans, purchases or registered-charity donations. Do not offer ownership, interest, repayment, profit shares or rewards in exchange for backing. Dreamers may send thanks and updates, but Backers are not entitled to rewards; read the Dreamer Rules for publication and proof requirements.

4. Respectful conversations and boundaries

A Backer can open a chat with a Dreamer from a dream, which also saves that dream. Messaging is a way to ask good-faith questions and share relevant updates, not a licence to demand attention or personal access. Keep criticism focused on information, decisions or conduct rather than personal humiliation.

Real-time messages may show typing indicators, online status and read receipts marked Seen. These features do not mean that a person is available, agrees with you or must respond immediately. Silence, an unanswered question or refusal to share private information is not permission to escalate contact.

  • Ask relevant questions politely, and allow reasonable time for a reply.
  • Do not demand romance, sexual attention, unpaid labour or private meetings because you gave support.
  • Do not send repeated unwanted messages, recruit others to contact someone or bypass a block.
  • Do not threaten to report, expose or shame someone to obtain money, a reply or a milestone release.

A disagreement about a dream or a request for more milestone information should remain factual and proportionate. Backers may ask for information needed to review proof without directing the Dreamer’s personal life. Dreamers must not punish reasonable questions with abuse or pressure a Backer into releasing funds they have not approved.

5. No harassment, hate or discrimination

Harassment includes repeated unwanted attention, targeted insults, intimidation, stalking and coordinated attempts to silence or humiliate someone. A single severe incident may also breach these rules. The same standards apply in private chat as in publicly visible profiles and dreams.

We prohibit hateful attacks, dehumanisation, threats, exclusionary abuse and promotion of violence against people because of characteristics such as race, ethnicity, nationality, religion, caste, sex, gender, gender identity, sexual orientation or disability. Using coded language, imagery or deliberate misidentification to achieve the same result does not avoid this rule. Do not praise or recruit for groups organised around violent hate.

  • Do not organise dogpiling, malicious reporting campaigns or off-platform harassment against a participant.
  • Do not mock someone’s hardship, disability or personal trauma to intimidate or degrade them.
  • Do not post slurs as a personal attack or disguise an attack as humour, a quotation or a question.

People may discuss discrimination, criticise institutions and disagree about ideas without attacking people’s humanity. Context matters, including whether material documents harm, challenges prejudice or instead directs abuse at someone. Report the relevant content with context rather than repeating harmful material more widely than necessary.

6. Sexual content and consent

cohero is not a platform for pornography, sexual services or sexual solicitation. Do not publish sexually explicit imagery, graphic sexual descriptions intended for arousal, offers of sexual acts or requests to exchange sexual access for gifts. The restriction covers profiles, dream media, proof and chat, including links intended to redirect users to prohibited material.

Never share intimate images without the depicted person’s consent, threaten to distribute them, or use fabricated intimate media to shame or manipulate someone. Consent to create an image is not consent to distribute it on cohero. A claimed relationship, prior conversation or financial contribution does not establish consent.

  • Do not send unwanted sexual messages or intimate photographs.
  • Do not seek money in exchange for sexual contact, explicit content or access to another person.
  • Do not publish covertly recorded intimate material or images that expose someone in a private sexual context.

Non-graphic discussion of health, identity or recovery may be appropriate when relevant to a lawful dream and presented respectfully. Use the minimum detail needed, avoid sexualised imagery and protect everyone’s privacy. Medical or educational framing does not permit exploitation, explicit solicitation or material involving the sexualisation of minors.

7. Violence, threats and dangerous conduct

Do not threaten, encourage, celebrate or facilitate violence against another person or yourself. Threats may be direct, conditional or conveyed through images, references to someone’s location or invitations for others to act. Calling a threat a joke does not remove the risk or make it acceptable.

We prohibit recruitment, fundraising or operational assistance for violent groups, instructions intended to enable attacks, and dreams seeking weapons or other prohibited dangerous items. Do not glorify an attack in a way that encourages imitation. Graphic depictions of injury or death used to shock, intimidate or exploit people are also prohibited.

  • Do not demand gifts or milestone approval under threats of harm, exposure or property damage.
  • Do not organise dangerous challenges or encourage self-harm as a way to attract backing.
  • Do not publish a target’s movements or location to help others confront or injure them.

If you believe someone faces immediate danger, contact the appropriate emergency services in their location where possible. Platform reports are not an emergency response service, and we cannot promise immediate intervention. You may report relevant content to us as well, without investigating the person yourself or circulating identifying information.

8. Protect minors and vulnerable people

Only people aged 18 or older may hold an account, publish a dream, back a dream or participate in chat. Do not create an account for a minor, let a minor operate yours, or misstate an age to avoid this requirement. If you suspect an underage account, report it without demanding that the person send identity documents to you.

Any sexual exploitation or sexualisation of a minor is prohibited, including grooming, sexual conversations directed at minors and attempts to obtain or distribute abusive imagery. Do not upload or forward suspected abusive material in a report. Identify the account, message or location of the content so our team can assess it without unnecessary redistribution.

An adult’s lawful personal dream may mention family circumstances, but it must respect the privacy, consent and safety of anyone described. Avoid publishing children’s full names, school details, precise routines, identity documents or sensitive medical information. A child’s presence in a story is never permission to exploit their distress as fundraising pressure.

Vulnerability is not limited to age. Do not manipulate people who are grieving, isolated, ill or experiencing financial distress into giving money they cannot afford. Do not claim that a gift is required to prove compassion, preserve a relationship or prevent a personal crisis.

9. No scams or outside-platform solicitation

For your safety, keep all conversations and agreements on cohero. Never send or accept payments outside cohero, even if someone asks. This helps protect both Dreamers and Backers and gives us a record to review if something goes wrong. Keeping activity on cohero does not mean that we can guarantee the outcome of a dream or settle every disagreement between users, but the messages and payment records held on the platform can be considered when you report a concern.

Never pay outside cohero in response to a request connected with a dream, a backing or the release of funds. Do not ask another user to send money by bank transfer, cash, digital currency, gift card or an external payment link to bypass the platform. Such requests undermine the milestone process and may be scams.

Do not claim that a user must pay a separate verification charge, clearance charge or personal transfer to unlock a backing or payout. Our platform fee is 15%, deducted from each backing, not added on top of the amount selected by the Backer. Never pose as support or a payment representative to collect credentials or payment information.

  • No phishing links, fake support accounts, advance-fee schemes or promises to multiply money.
  • No demands for security codes, passwords, full card numbers or remote access to a device.
  • No offers to buy backing activity, manufacture supporters or release funds in return for a private payment.
  • No attempts to repackage gifts as loans, investments, guaranteed returns or paid rewards.

If you receive a suspicious request, stop the transaction, preserve relevant messages and report the account or message. If money or credentials have already been sent, contact the relevant payment provider or bank promptly and secure your account. cohero cannot promise recovery of payments made outside its payment and milestone process.

10. No spam or manipulation

Use messages and platform features for genuine participation, not repetitive advertising or artificial promotion. Do not send mass unsolicited pitches, irrelevant links or identical requests across many accounts. A dream’s availability in the feed is not permission to harvest its viewers or contact people through unrelated channels.

Do not use automation, scripts or coordinated accounts to manufacture engagement, overwhelm chat, evade limits or interfere with normal operation. Do not create fake Backers, staged conversations or misleading demonstrations of popularity. Attempts to exploit errors or manipulate milestone records are prohibited even if no money has yet moved.

  • Keep updates relevant to the dream and avoid excessive repeated demands for support.
  • Do not stuff descriptions with unrelated keywords, deceptive links or misleading labels.
  • Do not submit knowingly false reports to suppress a competitor or retaliate after a disagreement.
  • Do not publish malicious files or links, or trick someone into installing software.

A genuine invitation or a relevant reply is different from indiscriminate solicitation, but context and recipient boundaries matter. Stop contacting someone when they ask you to stop or block you. Use the contact channel in this document for questions about platform access rather than trying to bypass technical safeguards.

11. Protect other people’s privacy

Do not disclose another person’s home address, private contact details, identity numbers, account credentials, financial information or precise location without a lawful basis and appropriate permission. Doxxing, threatened disclosure and collecting information to enable harassment are prohibited. Information found elsewhere is not automatically appropriate to repost here.

Before uploading a document, photograph, video or screenshot, check what it reveals about everyone involved. Redact unnecessary addresses, account numbers, signatures, medical details and information about bystanders. Where another person’s contribution is needed as evidence, obtain appropriate permission and use only the information necessary for the milestone.

  • Do not publish private chats to mobilise harassment or expose a participant’s identity.
  • Do not try to identify an anonymous Backer or pressure them to reveal their name.
  • Do not scrape profiles, messages or media to build contact lists or external dossiers.

Uploaded media and proof are stored privately and displayed through expiring or signed links, but recipients may still copy information they can view. Do not assume that technical access controls make it safe to upload unnecessary secrets. See the Privacy Policy for our handling of personal data and use platform reporting or hello@coheroapp.com for privacy concerns.

12. No illegal goods or activities

Do not use cohero to arrange, promote or finance unlawful conduct, or to acquire prohibited goods. This includes trafficking, exploitation, stolen property, counterfeit goods, illicit drugs, weapons and services intended to commit fraud or evade lawful safeguards. A personal ambition or artistic framing does not excuse an unlawful objective.

Dreams must also satisfy the Dreamer Rules, which prohibit some activities even where local law might permit them. Financial products, investments, equity, lending, gambling, raffles and pyramid schemes are not appropriate uses of gift-based backing. Do not split a prohibited objective across several apparently harmless milestones to conceal its purpose.

You are responsible for the laws and permissions relevant to your own actions, including licences, travel permissions and rights to use locations or materials. Do not ask another user to circumvent age checks, financial checks or restrictions that apply to them. Approval of a dream is not legal advice or a determination that every aspect of it is lawful.

If content appears to reveal wrongdoing, report what you observed without buying prohibited items, impersonating an official or conducting a confrontation. We may remove content, restrict activity and respond to lawful requests as described in the Terms of Service and Privacy Policy. We do not promise that a report will result in a criminal investigation.

13. Avoid harmful misinformation

Do not knowingly publish false or materially misleading claims that affect someone’s decision to give support or expose people to serious harm. This includes fabricated emergencies, false claims about public authorities, manipulated evidence and unsupported claims that a product or treatment cures serious illness. Present personal experience as personal experience, not proof of a universal result.

Distinguish opinion, aspiration, uncertainty and verified fact. Do not attach invented expert endorsements, false statistics or misleading quotations to a dream. Where an image, recording or document has been altered in a way that changes its meaning, do not present it as an authentic record.

  • Correct material inaccuracies you discover and explain changes that affect the dream or its milestones.
  • Do not discourage necessary medical care through fraudulent cure claims or pretend to hold professional qualifications.
  • Do not falsely describe a backing as tax-deductible or guaranteed to be returned if a dream fails.

Good-faith mistakes and legitimate disagreement are not automatically deception. We consider the content, context, likely harm and whether a correction is made, while reserving the ability to act quickly against dangerous claims. Our review is not a substitute for independent medical, financial or legal advice, and users should verify important information before acting.

14. Respect intellectual property

Only upload or use material you created or are authorised to use, subject to applicable legal exceptions. Photographs, music, video, artwork, text, logos and designs may belong to someone else even when freely available online. Giving credit is not a substitute for permission where permission is required.

Do not copy another dream’s distinctive content, remove ownership marks to mislead viewers, distribute pirated material or offer counterfeit products. Do not use a name, logo or likeness in a way that falsely suggests sponsorship or affiliation. A dream’s creative purpose does not give its owner rights in other people’s work.

If you believe material infringes your rights, follow the Intellectual Property Policy and provide enough detail to identify the protected work and the content at issue. Make claims honestly and only where you are the rights holder or authorised to act. Do not use an infringement complaint as a way to silence fair criticism or obtain someone’s private data.

We may remove or restrict disputed material while assessing a complaint, and repeated or serious infringement can lead to account restrictions. Users may explain an authorisation, mistake or applicable exception through the process described in the Intellectual Property Policy. That process does not guarantee restoration or decide ownership disputes between parties.

15. Report concerns and use blocking

You can report dreams, users and messages through the available reporting features. Describe the concern factually, identify the relevant content and include useful context such as what was requested or why a claim appears misleading. Our team reviews reports; a report is not a public verdict and does not automatically establish that a rule was broken.

You can also block another user. Blocked users cannot message you, and their dreams are hidden from you. Blocking is a boundary tool, not a substitute for reporting threats, scams or other serious concerns, and it does not reverse past backings or alter the rules governing held and released funds.

  • Report the specific message or dream when possible so the team can locate the issue.
  • Keep relevant records without altering them, and avoid collecting unnecessary sensitive information.
  • Do not promise anonymity to witnesses or publish their details as part of a complaint.
  • For problems using a reporting feature, contact hello@coheroapp.com with enough information to locate the issue.

We handle reports in line with the Privacy Policy and may need to examine related activity or ask for clarification. We cannot promise absolute confidentiality, a fixed response time or disclosure of another person’s account action. A request for help should never require paying another user or giving them account credentials.

16. Enforcement and the safety ladder

Our usual enforcement ladder is a warning, content removal, temporary suspension and permanent ban. The response depends on seriousness, credibility of the evidence, harm, intent, repeated behaviour and attempts to evade a prior restriction. We may skip steps, including an immediate ban, for severe threats, exploitation, fraud or other urgent risks.

We may require a correction, reject or hide a dream, remove content or restrict access while assessing a concern. A warning does not authorise continuing the conduct, and deleting a message does not erase the underlying incident. Do not create another account or ask someone else to publish for you to bypass enforcement.

Enforcement does not make released funds refundable: money released for a milestone is paid out and is final. Administrators can return unreleased funds to Backers, including for fraud, a rules breach or abandonment; the 15% platform fee is retained. Returns go to the original payment method where possible, as explained in the Backing & Gift Policy.

Ordinary milestone review also continues to matter: if a Backer does not release a milestone within 14 days after proof is submitted, that Backer’s unreleased funds for that milestone and all later milestones are returned automatically, with the fee retained. Do not use reporting, blocking or threats as a substitute for the review process. We cannot guarantee completion of a dream or recovery of money already released.

17. Appeals and corrections

If you believe a moderation decision is mistaken, contact hello@coheroapp.com and explain which decision you are challenging. Include the affected account or dream, the notice if available, the facts you believe were misunderstood and any relevant evidence. Do not send unnecessary identity documents, private information about others or copies of prohibited imagery.

We will review the information provided and may uphold, change or reverse the decision, or ask for more information. Useful appeals explain a factual error, authorisation, changed context or a concrete correction rather than simply demanding a different result. Filing an appeal does not automatically restore content, pause restrictions or extend a milestone review window.

You may disagree with us without abusing team members or the person who reported the concern. Repeated duplicate messages, threats and attempts to identify a reporter can themselves lead to action. If an appeal reveals a correctable issue, follow any instructions given before resubmitting content; do not repeatedly upload the same removed material.

Platform review is not a court process and does not remove rights available under applicable law. We may limit what we disclose to protect other people, security measures or lawful obligations. Nothing in these guidelines excludes mandatory consumer protections or other rights that cannot lawfully be waived.

18. Policy changes and contact

Questions about these guidelines, safety concerns and requests to review enforcement can be sent to hello@coheroapp.com. Identify the relevant account, dream or message and state what help you need. For urgent danger, contact local emergency services rather than relying on this address for immediate assistance.

We may update these guidelines as the community, risks or legal requirements change. Material changes will be notified in the app or by email in advance, and continued use after the changes take effect means acceptance. The English version prevails if language versions conflict, subject to mandatory applicable rights.

Account deletion is available from your profile, with a 30-day grace period during which signing in and choosing keep my account cancels deletion. Deletion is not a method of reversing released payments or evading review of prior conduct. See the Privacy Policy for deletion, anonymised records and retention required by law.

These guidelines should be read together with the Terms of Service and the other policies relevant to your activity. Where you need clarification before posting or backing, ask rather than assuming that silence, a live dream or another user’s behaviour is permission. Everyone has a role in keeping support honest, voluntary and respectful.
